Messier 8 and Messier 20, two beautiful Summer nebulae also known as the Lagoon Nebula and Trifid Nebula, are two extremely popular deep sky objects for amateur astrophotographers. They are located in the constellation Sagittarius, approximately 4,100 light-years from Earth.

 

This raw astrophotography dataset was captured from our telescope under Bortle 2 skies. It totals 8 hours of integration time, and is perfect to process for beginners looking for a challenge! Do your best to reveal as much details as possible.
