I just tried to use your link and download instructions for Starnet++ and it led me on a wild goose chase! First, it wanted to download software to change my browser, along with downloads for postgres SQL, which I already have and another file with a subtend of .gz which I wasn't about to open! In the process, there was no mention whatsoever of Starnet++. I like Galactic Hunter, but am VERY disappointed in this link.
Is there some way to get Starnet++ that doesn't involve wading through a bunch of junk?
Thanks,
Blake
Hi Blake,
The website that originally hosted the download link seems to have deleted the file. You can now download it on the official Starnet website. Note that on our updated post about Starnet ( https://www.galactic-hunter.com/post/starnet2 ) does mention that:
"* If the link does not work, use THIS LINK instead."
And if you were on the old Starnet++ tutorial, at the very beginning it also says:
"[Update 2022]
Version 2 of Starnet is available. Be sure to read our updated guide on how to install StarNet V2 as the guide below is now outdated!"
I will go ahead and remove the one that goes to the empty page now.
Clear Skies,
Antoine
