You mentioned the best camera is the camera you have.
My current DSLR camera is a Canon T5 (no i), Canon 70-200mm zoom lens and a Canon EFS 15 to 85mm wide angle lens.
1. Is this equipment of use for astrophotography?
2. What does the suffix "i" indicate on the camera body? If I had a T5i.
3. How would you suggest employing this equipment?
Michael
Hi Michael,
The T5 is also very good, it is similar to the T5i with a few differences. For Astrophotography, the T5i is in my opinion better because of these differences, especially the larger ISO range, and the screen that can rotate. But the T5 is still completely fine for starting out in the hobby.
You can use this camera with either a telescope, or with your lens wide field. If you do not plan on getting a telescope yet, I would suggest getting a star tracker so that you can take long exposures with your current lenses and still get great results.
